6/1 Morning Program by T. Farah Al-Maymoni (Racism)

This Thursday, T. Farah Al-Maymoni's class 6/1 discussed racism and school bullying. Student Farah Al-Harbi introduced the topic in Arabic with verses from Quran about people from different countries meeting and getting to know each other with love and not hate. Then student Madeleine (played by AlMaha Al-Salem) talked about being bullied in school because she came from a different planet even though she was Muslim. Students played a scene in which Madeleine gets bullied and the teacher (played by Hala Qasim) chides the students and tells them that Muslims are not racists.

Students sing a song (As Long As You Love Me) to the whole school

I don't care
Who you are
Where you're from
What you did
As long as you love me
